SCOUTING REPORT ON MIKE PARKER: Mike Parker is a versatile player that can easily play the point guard or off guard position. He routinely plays defense on the opposing teams’ top scorer and makes his teammates better by getting them the ball in great scoring position or where they feel comfortable. He is a professional on the floor and off and provides great leadership as a basketball player. Keeps himself in excellent physical condition at all times. Works hard in off-season with physical conditioning and weight training & works out with many local NBA players in New York such as Vin Baker, Rod Strickland and Todd Day just to name a few. Mike is very focused and keeps his composure when playing. He handles the ball very well with very low assists/turnover ratio. Great shooter, and has the ability to post up smaller point guards. He penetrates very well. Good at creating shots for players around him. Excellent rebounder from the Guard position. Works hard on defense. Takes pride in stopping his opponent. Plays good team defense. Considered a smart player on the court by his coaches, teammates and his opponents. Has a high basketball IQ. Mike is very Coachable. Very smart on offense and gets to the basket from penetration. Overall he is a great team player who creates opportunities for himself and his teammates to score. Coaches love this player.
